We’re excited to announce the launch of Advanced Mobile Data Analysis (AX400), a two-day expert-level mobile forensics training course designed to elevate your mobile analysis capabilities.

AX400 is tailored for experienced examiners with prior mobile device analysis knowledge or those who have completed Magnet Forensics’ foundational mobile forensics training courses. It is ideal for professionals seeking a deeper understanding of mobile operating system file types, encryption methods, and advanced analytical techniques.

Why take AX400 mobile forensics training?

Mobile devices continue to be a critical source of digital evidence, with new applications, encryption methods, and data structures emerging constantly. While Magnet Axiom, Magnet Graykey, and Magnet Verakey provide powerful acquisition and analysis capabilities, not all third-party applications are natively supported. Some highlights include:

  • Custom artifact development: Learn to identify unsupported third-party applications, craft custom artifacts, and integrate them into Magnet Axiom for processing.
  • Dynamic App Finder: Gain hands-on experience with Magnet Axiom’s Dynamic App Finder to locate and create artifacts from unsupported SQLite databases.
  • Advanced data structures: Explore complex data structures such as LevelDB, PList and Protobuf as well as encrypted application analysis and Android APK decompilation.
  • Hands-on exercises: Practice extracting and analyzing data from file systems, unsupported apps, and addressing real-world forensic challenges. Upon completion, you’ll be able to confidently extract, analyze, and validate data from both iOS and Android devices, even when faced with unsupported or encrypted data sources.

Course prerequisites

To ensure you get the most out of this mobile forensics training course, we strongly recommend you’ve taken these courses:
