Thank you to everyone who joined us for another amazing Magnet Virtual Summit!
The virtual DFIR event of the year was back again to give an investigative edge to a bigger audience than ever, bringing together experts from Magnet Forensics and the broader field from around the world to the community.
Over 50 presentations were offered on a variety of topics including artificial intelligence, mobile forensics, deepfakes eDiscovery, malware, ransomware, digital evidence review, video forensics, and much more! Plus, attendees had a chance to learn more about Magnet Forensics products, including our revolutionary new platform, Magnet One, and participate in another amazing Capture The Flag competition.
Recordings of nearly all the sessions are available to watch on-demand now. Visit the MVS 2025 library to watch the presentation of your choice anytime.
And if you’re interested in learning even more about DFIR trends and Magnet Forensics’ approaches to staying ahead of them, be sure to join us in Nashville for Magnet User Summit 2025 on Marcy 17-19.
Kick-off presentation: Addressing the tipping point of DFIR
Magnet Forensics co-founder, Jad Saliba, and Chief Technology & Research Officer, Braden Thomas, got Magnet Virtual Summit 2025 off to a great start with their kick-off presentation. In their welcome address, they spoke about the latest Magnet Forensics company developments, our newest innovations and how they’re addressing DFIR needs across the field, and they also took time for a live Q&A at the end where attendees had the chance to ask so many great questions.
Keynote presentations from Kevin Mulcahy & Brett Shavers
We were lucky to have two special guests on-hand to deliver keynote presentations at Magnet Virtual Summit 2025: former federal prosecutor, Kevin Mulcahy and renowned DFIR expert Brett Shavers!
Kevin recounted his own story as a survivor of child sexual abuse and address lessons learned from his case by combining Kevin’s experience both as a victim and a long-time prosecutor of child exploitation cases. Watch a recording here.
Meanwhile, Brett shared some insights on how attendees can elevate their DFIR skills with an investigative mindset. A recording of the presentation is now available here.
